NEVER IS NOW

Symbolic ‡ Tentacles Сool as a dinosaur album keeping up with it's ambitious tracklist. Tim & Co utilized their sophisticated electronic post-processing by even making EACH drum sound like a tight beat. Guitar parts are oozing with OOMPH, not to mention a handful of catchy industrial effects (sadly, few of them). Synths & percussion also pulls over the blanket at times, syncing with the riffs in crushing harmony. My only issue is lyrics being too infantile sometimes, thou' it's still bad@ss.
M-O-U-S-E M-U-S-T DIE! Favorite track: Pharmaceuticals.

Omegalodon Another awesome album from Tim Skold. I've been with him since Shotgun Messiah and up through all of his collaborations. He just keeps staying ahead of the pack. Favorite track: Never Is Now.

HardRockHellion I've been a fan of Tim Skold since the 90s when I came across violent new breed from shotgun messiah, he's a brilliant musician. of all his work since then it's his solo albums i've loved the most and never is now is one of the best albums he's ever recorded, in any band. this album really brings together the best elements of his work: the dark industrial he became known for with KMFDM and his last album the undoing, the hard rock and metal from his self titled first album and second album anomie, and then that voice we all love which has lost none of his attitude and power. you might say when considering the various styles Tim has used over the course of his career that it's his best album in that it embodies everything that's great that he's done. I can't get enough of the song roses, but really this whole album is a masterpiece from a master musician and one of my greatest musical influences. If you are a fan of his music then you really won't go wrong buying this album. Favorite track: Roses.

MuchLessImportant Really couldn't pick a favorite track; I love all of them maybe not equally, but definitely all of them. I feel like SKOLD went all out with this one, it's one of the heavier albums I've heard. Album art is creative as hell too, love how "SKOLD" is spelled out coming off the wolf. Quality and composition are exactly what you'd expect with such a veteran artist, probably my favorite album so far. Favorite track: Ravenous.

Zor Prime Tim never puts anything out that sucks, here's a refined example of the opposite of suck, zero suck factor. Get it. Favorite track: Be Brave.

about

Swedish born multi-instrumentalist Tim Sköld, the creative force behind his namesake industrial metal project, has been one of few lasting Swedish music exports since the 1980s as frontman for one of that country’s earliest and more successful metal bands, Shotgun Messiah. After the suspension of that outfit in the mid-90s, Sköld struck out on his own and released the debut album for his industrial metal project, the self-titled Skold album, in 1996. The album was hailed as a triumph with songs such as “Chaos” and “Hail Mary” landing in major motion pictures as well as mainstream video games. Since then, Sköld has gone on to work in a numerous other major bands, becoming a permanent member of KMFDM and Marilyn Manson as well as playing live with Taime Downe’s The Newlydeds and Nivek Ogre’s Ohgr, all the while composing, performing, and producing for other artist, for example Motionless In White, as well as several Skold albums.

Now, hot on the heels of 2016’s The Undoing Skold is teaming up with powerhouse indie label Cleopatra Reords to release the much anticipated brand new studio album Never Is Now. 15 all new tracks of driving rhythms, vicious guitar riffs, and scintillating synths to create a thrilling listening experience perfect for fans of industrial and electronic-tinged metal. The album will be available on CD in a digipak and on a special limited edition CLEAR double vinyl package everywhere starting April 5!
